Darby began his career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) before working in motion picture production and development with award-winning producer Cary Brokaw at Avenue Pictures and prior for Adam Sandler’s producing partner, Barry Bernardi. He also studied method acting for two years at the famed Playhouse West under the direction of Jeff Goldblum and counts his audition for legendary director Francis Coppola as one of his favorite Hollywood memories.
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Darby served for five years as a public affairs officer and spokesperson for FEMA where he gained an in-depth knowledge of newsmaking and crisis communications.
Today he serves as a brand storyteller for one of world’s leading health care companies. The mini-doc series he co-produced for Pfizer has gained nearly 5 million channel views. His first feature documentary film, FISH & MEN will make its premiere in early 2019.
