For over two decades, Darby has worked in media – as a documentary filmmaker, writer and producer. His company On a Mission Media develops and produces documentaries, feature films and provides media consulting services for corporate, government and nonprofit clients.
Darby’s worked with award-winning producers at (CAA), studied method acting under the direction of Jeff Goldblum, and auditioned for the legendary director Francis Coppola as one of his favorite Hollywood memories. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Darby served for five years as a public affairs officer and spokesperson for FEMA where he gained an in-depth knowledge of newsmaking and crisis communications.
Today Darby serves as a brand storyteller and documentary filmmaker. The mini-documentary series he co-produced for Pfizer has gained nearly 5 million channel views. His first award-winning feature documentary film, FISH & MEN made its world premiere in late 2019 and is currently on the festival circuit in 2020.
